Group Facilitators at Joel's Place for Children

Our 20-hour facilitator training takes place in August every year. A comprehensive manual is provided. The training includes:

  • Sharing personal loss experiences
  • The developmental stage of childhood
  • How developmental stages relate to the grieving process
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • What support groups look like
  • Activities to facilitate the expression of feelings

    • No prior training or experience is required. All that is needed is the ability to listen and a compassionate heart.
