Facilitators at Joel's Place for Children
Our 20-hour facilitator training takes place in August every year. A comprehensive manual is provided. The training includes:
- Sharing personal loss experiences
- The developmental stage of childhood
- How developmental stages relate to the grieving process
- Cultural sensitivity
- What support groups look like
- Activities to facilitate the expression of feelings
No prior training or experience is required. All that is needed is the ability to listen and a compassionate heart.
